The brood mare in the last trimester of pregnancy, and the young growing horse have special nutritional requirements. Equine 16 has the proper balance of energy, protein, and nutrients to meet these requirements and achieve consistent bone and muscle development in the young growing horse. Feeding Equine 16 to the nursing mare will also insure maximum milk production while maintaining a positive energy balance to reduce weight loss and rebreeding problems.

Equine 16 utilizes the latest research in equine nutrition to form a complete and well balanced diet when fed with good quality forage. Energy dense and highly digestible, Equine 16 is formulated with more of the nutrients today’s horses require for growth, training and competition.

Oats - provide a readily available carbohydrate energy source with built in    fiber for safer grain feeding.
Soy Oil - increases the energy density of the diet without starch overload   while maintaining desired body condition of active horses.
Stabilized rice bran - provides high fat and fiber content to maintain energy without the high-starch hyperactivity.
Biotin - for healthy hoof development.
Lysine - added for improved protein utilization.
Organic trace minerals - improved biological availability enhances the   immune system, improving overall health, especially during the stresses of performance and competition.
Complete vitamin and mineral fortification - eliminates the need for   additional supplements.
Feeding Recommendations
Lbs. of feed per 100 Lbs. of body weight.
Foals and Weanlings         0.75 - 1.25

Equine 16 formula is designed to be fed with free choice hay or pasture when available or as a complete diet along with plenty of fresh, clean water and free-choice salt.
The amount fed should be adjusted to the condition of the horse and the quality of the hay or pasture available.

Do not mix Equine 16 with oats or other feeds as this will dilute the desirable levels of key nutrients.
Divide the total lbs. of feed required into 2 or more feedings per day and maintain a regular feeding program. Do not feed more than 0.5% of body weight at one feeding.
Always change feeds gradually over a two week period.
Measure feed by weight instead of by volume.
Store Equine 12 in a cool dry place, and never feed any feed that is moldy.
